Introducing Utah's New 2011 Mother and Young Mother of the Year!

Congratulations to Sally Fitzgerald Olsen Utah's new Mother of the Year 2011!

And to
Emi Dalton Edgley Utah's new Young Mother of the Year 2011!

Both were honored by and awarded certificates from Utah's Governor Gary Herbert on Capitol Hill on February 18, 2011.

The Governor also addressed all of those present with touching words about the importance of motherhood. He spoke about some of the past American Presidents and their adoration for their mothers, namely Abraham Lincoln as he quoted him, "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother."

Governor Herbert also honored and presented two of Utah's Merit Mothers with certificates as well.

They were also scheduled to meet with the House, but due to a important and urgent bill, the House was unable to take a break and so instead their Representatives came out to meet them in the waiting room.

Congratulations to our great new Mother and Young Mother of the Year! The AMI Utah Association is looking forward to a wonderful year with both.

UP with Motherhood!

Our Utah Association State Convention and Mother of the Year Luncheon was held on February 5, 2011. It was a very UPLIFTING and wonderful event that RAISED our spirits and ELEVATED our determination to be better mothers and grandmothers. Those in charge of the event proved they could RISE to the occasion and make everything just perfect from the decorations to the speakers. It was held at the Maddox Lodge in Perry, Utah which meant that our taste buds were also taken to new HEIGHTS!

Cache Valley Mini Conference!

The Cache Valley Mini-Conference was once again a HUGE success!

This year's theme was "Apron Strings, The Ties that Bind" and it was creatively decorated in a retro theme.

Great workshops were offered on a variety of topics and keynote speaker CHERYL LANT (former Primary General President) did a wonderful job reminding those in attendance the importance of motherhood.
Those in attendance left with more than just their tummies full!
Thank you wonderful Cache Valley American Mother's for making this such a wonderful and "filling" day!!!
