Capital Hill and The Governor's Mansion

A GREAT day was spent on Capital Hill in the House and the Senate honoring our wonderful mothers!

AMI Utah Association President Jenneice Beckstrand presenting Governor Gary Herbert with an Honory Mother of the Year Award in honor of his mother who recently passed away last year.


He was deeply touched and expressed his love and adoration for his wonderful mother.  He spoke lovingly about her and her great example and influence on him for a good 20 minutes.  It was a very touching tribute to his mother.

High Tea at the Governor's Mansion

After meeting with the Governor on Capital Hill, everyone met at the Governor's Mansion for a High Tea with Utah's First Lady Jeanette Herbert.
 



Lori Conger and Cynthia Richards were officially named the new Utah Mother and Utah Young Mother of the Year for 2012.

Claudene Gordon's amazingly talented (and adorable!) grandchildren provided the music.
 
 





First Lady Jeanette Herbert spoke about motherhood.





AMI Utah Association's President Jenneice Beckstrand presented the First Lady with an award from American Mothers for all her work she is doing to promote motherhood and strong families.

Utah MOY and YMOY Selection Luncheon 2012

The 2012 American Mother's Mother of the Year and Young Mother of the Year Selection Luncheon was held at The Eldredge Manor in Bountiful.

There were seven wonderful women nominated for Mother of the Year and four outstanding mothers nominated for Young Mother of the Year.

What: Inside cleaning and small repairs of their Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary

Why: This is a marvelous opportunity to bring various faiths in a community together to know, serve, bless, and love each other.
This is an older congregation and they greatly appreciate youthful vigor and our help. Wear work clothes and your smile. All cleaning supplies will be provided. Hope you can join us for a fun and memorable experience!

Cache Valley Mini Conference 2011


It Will All Work Out In the Wash
Cache Valley held their 22nd annual MINI CONFERENCE on Oct. 29th.
It was LOADS of fun and everyone left feeling like they WASHED their troubles down the drain for another year!


The displays were full of fun and creative ideas for mom's to implement in their own families and to help spread more CHEER in the home!

The WASH BOARD BAND was the highlight of the morning!


The speakers were FAB-ulous and everyone went home full of LOADS of ideas to help TIDE them over for another year!



Rosemary Wixom General Primary President of the LDS Church was the keynote speaker!



Our Young Mother of the Year Emi Edgley was there to show her support.



The workshop presenters all did a great job to help us in our endeavor to refrain from becoming BASKET cases!





Everyone enjoyed HANGING out with so many other great mothers and went home feeling re-FRESHED and once again on a NORMAL setting!
